Not Easy
God impressed on me three things as we moved to Houston:
1) He has called us to do what we are doing.
2) It's not going to be easy.
3) There will be blessing in all of this.
We're at stage 2 right now - It's not going to be easy.
We've joined our parent's company for abt two months now. We're at a difficult transition period right now. There's been a lot of conflict and hurt feelings in establishing expectations. A lot of times people are getting upset at issues initially rather than just discussing and resolving the issues.
We are also still in the process of finding a church. So many churches seem to be more about religion and ministry through human effort rather than worshiping and glorifying God and reliance on the Spirit and God's power.
Pls pray for the following:
1. God will reveal His purposes for us being here and that His purposes will be accomplished.
2. That we will be salt and light for my parents; that God would open their hearts to Him, and they can come to faith in Christ.
3. For our work - 1) It will be a joy to work together as a family, 2) We can set expectations clearly and resolve issues in a constructive manner, 3) That will will be more effective working as a team than as individuals.
4. God will provide a church home for us where we can have intimate worship, spirit-led teaching, community, and a place for us to minister effectively.
5. Protection and growth for our relationship and marriage. The transition - physically moving and settling down, adjusting to a new job and family, and taking care of Sophia have really put a strain on us. Pray that we can spend time with each other, support each other, and encourage each other. Pray that we can go back and build upon the foundation - our relationship w/ God and our relationship each other.
